Lashandia May is certified as both a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner, with an impressive clinical track record spanning over 9 years. She became interested in nursing at age 11. This led her to attend St. Johns River Community College where she received the Florence Nightingale award for going above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care while receiving her Associate Degree in Science Nursing December 2008. Afterward, she attended Florida State College at Jacksonville where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing June 2011. Next, she attended the University of South Alabama where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing December 2014. Additionally, she continued at the University of South Alabama and obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice December 2018. Furthermore, she acquired her certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2023. Lashandia May, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Family Nurse Practitioner Certified (FNP-C), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) is known for her patience, dedication, and attention to detail for each individual patient case. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. One of her many hobbies are mentoring nurse practitioner students, mentoring registered nurses, and mentoring nursing students. She plans to continue to use her medical and nursing skills to improve patient outcomes and encourage the next generation of nurses and advanced care providers.
